Most things that happen in the WWE are fake so I thought that he was taking a break from wrestling or going on vacation like some other wrestlers do. Or going to see his family and stay with them for a while.
I saw his knee surgery Friday. He still had his mask on during the surgery! Everytime he is on TV he has his mask on. I've seen without it though.

hunny let me tell u something my mom is a physican and my dad is a medic and they treated of a few of the wwe superstars and the only thing fake sbout wwe is the stiry lines

Rey Mysterio in the script had to lose against Chavo so he can really get his surgery on his knee. It is called a kayfabe and he will be back in about six months or when his knees are finally healed. I almost saw Rey Rey without his mask when they did his eulogy on Eddie last year. He about to take off his mask and after that they went to a commercial. Most luchadors never ever take off their mask in public.

He really did break his knee. I read that in the summer he was hurting bad and he wanted to get surgery but he wanted to have a match where it would look like someone broke hiss knee. Chavo didnt really break it. It was already messed up. An to the girl who gave the first answer he did have his mask on.

yea wrestling is fake, all of it, some people think that ecw is real, but its not, all they pretty much do in ecw is tell the guys who is supposed to win and to make it look convincing. i too have seen mysterio w/o his mask but they only had his mask on so you can tell who he is, there are alot off people that havent seen him and they probably wouldnt be able to recognize him w/o his mask. it is true that the wwe and all the other wrestling organizations use injuries for an excuse to give a wrestler some time off.

His ACL was torn in real life. The I Quit match was to give him a storyline to explain why he would be out for awhile. There have been a few times he has wrestled without it, back in AAA wrestling.

Yeah. i thought the same thing. Rey is hurt bad. Yes he broke it for real. but will he come back? i thought he quit in that i quit match.

i thought it was fake too! then saw the surgery. but, i am reminded of a fake video i saw in my mortuary science class so i don't know if i'm convinced.
plus he was wearing his stupid mask.

He broke his leg!!?? I can't believe I missed that! I'm a huge WWE fan. Its hard to believe anything that's on tv anymore, like when the Undertaker was supposedly "dead" that on time Batista or Randy Orton ''killed" him. Thanks for the question.
