I don't like the close shaved look on my boyfriend so I would like to get him a razor that dosn't shave too close. Is there anything like that out there?

get him an electric razor! they do not shave very closely and you have to shave several times a day if you want to stay closely shaven. I use an electric razor from Norelco and you can still see some stubble there after I shave with it. But I don't mind since it's so much easier than the old way (a Gillette Mach 3) and there's no risk of cutting myself. Btw why do you like the stubbly look?

but with facial stubble, when he goes down on you it will scratch & irritate.

sure there are trimmers with removable guides. mine has vacuum. vacuum doesn't get it all but it helps.
