stereotypical world..?

I dress goth, i'll admit it. But people think i am a bad person because of it. The only other styles there are just don't fit me though, i hate preps, not a nerd, and lets face it i am not black ;). It just makes me sad when people pull their kids away form me in walmart. And this boy asked me if i hate my life. Don't you wish this world was less stereotypical? That way i can dress preppy and not be called a prep and dress black and not be called a poser, don't you jsut wish you could do that?

We dress the way we want to be perceived. If you dress in all black ~ people are going to make their own assumptions. There isn't much you can do...

i know how you feel im the skater style so everyone thinks im mean or weird dont feel bad people judge before they even know the person. you can ask any one of my friends even though my style is skater i hang with preps and they learned to accept that i dont like there stupid clothes. that dosent mean they still dont try :) but just forget about those peopl who think that i have never thought that about goths. besides atleast you can pull off wearing dark clothes. ;) and yes i really wish people would be less sterotypical.

the only way to change people's perception is to be the person you are, regardless of how you dress. i learned long ago not to judge people by the way they dress. maybe you'll always dress like you do, and maybe you won't. i have many friends who are heavily tattooed and it bothers me that they are stereotyped. one of them has a masters degree in psychology, yet all people see is a mexican with a lot of tattoos. whatever. live your life and change people's mind.
