You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he/she started moving at 7 or 8 weeks and you may have already witnessed his acrobatics if you've had an ultrasound.
Veteran moms tend to notice those first subtle kicks — also known as "quickening" — earlier than first-time moms. (A woman who's been pregnant before can more easily distinguish her baby's kick from other belly rumblings, such as gas.)
Whats even funnier is after you have the baby and you get one of these feelings. You know its just your stomach rumbling or a little gas but it sure feels like your little one is still in there.
Women have described the sensation as being like popcorn popping, a goldfish swimming around, or butterflies fluttering. You'll probably chalk up those first gentle taps or swishes in your belly to gas or hunger pains, but once you start feeling them more regularly, you'll recognize the difference. You're more likely to feel these early movements when you're sitting or lying quietly.
As soon as you catch on you will most defiantly find your baby's pattern and feel every bit of it.
CONGRATS by the way!!!

With number 1 you may be feeling the baby move but not know that it is the baby moving. Dont worry. Normal only applies to what is normal for you. Everyone is different ( I know overused phrase on here). Ask you doctor on your next visit. Good luck

Sounds like this is your first!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Your baby moves at this stage sometimes you won't feel the movement. A lot of people say it feels like gas, not me!! It's more of a feeling of butterflies fluttering around!!! And at your doctor visits they should be checking babies heart and that sound should put your mind at ease!!! One thing that helped me with my first was to buy a Bebe sounds headphone, you can hear your baby's heart beat any time you want and even hear the hiccups!!!! Check Wal-Mart!!!!! They aren't to pricey I think @ $20. We even put the head phones on my belly and talked into the speaker end and read our baby stories and sang songs!! Happy, Healthy Pregnancy!!!

Is this your first pregnancy? If its your first pregnancy then its fine. Im 21 weeks with my 4th and she moves all over but that is only because I have been pregnant before. With my first It was a little farther along before I felt him moving.

Depends on a lot of things, how the baby is positioned, how the placenta is positioned, how much fat you have, how you are built and how sensitive the nerves in/on your uterus are.
I actually felt my first child sooner than my second because of the way #2 was situated in the womb.
But, as always, if you are worried, it never hurts to have things checked out.

is it your first pregnancy, if so then i would say thats ok i was about 22 or 23 weeks when i felt my first, you probably have felt it but thought it was wind as its hard to tell at first, the only way i can describe the first time you feel it, is its like a bubble rising in your stomach and then it pops, if you are unsure or worried about anything call your midwife thats what she is there for, good luck

If you are seeing your ob once a month and are hearing the heart beat, everything is fine. Babies develop at different rates. If this is your first pregnancy, you might not recognize the movement because at first, it feels a bit like gas. Good luck.

It isn't uncommon,as it depends on how the baby is laying. You may have felt flutters or rumblings and thought nothing of it.
If you are that worried, either go to your doctor or an NHS walk-in centre and either should be able to put your mind at rest.

You should soon be able to feel it. The bigger the baby is the more you will feel it. Try eating something sweet, like a cookie. The baby will react to the sugar intake and will move. This was suggested to me by my gyno and it works.
