It seems that people have this perception that rockers have dirty hair..or that they never wash their hair. Why is that so?

I never heard that, don't cut there hair often or always keep it out of their face maybe, I bet it has to do with the way the hair looks while the rocker is sweating while performing, looks greasy.
People are nasty towards those that are different, guess that's why once someone gets stuck on stupid, it's hard to get them unstuck!

People tend to draw conclusions by what is right there in front of them.
If it looks dirty then most likely it IS. If the rockers don't like being labeled then they have all the opportunity in the world to change it.

Because when they are on stage, it always looks so dirty. When you see them on the street, it is usually quite clean and well groomed.
