were can i get help with christmas?

someone please tell me were i can get help with christmas for my child this year i live in shallote nc and my husband has just started a new job so im am under alot of stress with bills etc were can i get some help with gifts for my child

well if you are under a lot of stress, and tight on money for decoration they have them at the chkd or goodwill for cheap, just go who cares. For gifts, no gifts should be big and expensive, I never got one so why does she have to? Just buy a gift certificate for her, for some clothes, because nobody wants to wear what their parents pick out for them. Why don't you just buy nick nacks from the dollar store and maybe a gift basket for her, that's cheap. She should know that money is tight, my parents always told me money was tight and I didn't get great gifts, but they were gifts.

You'd better get to the Salvation Army immediately to apply for help for Christmas, if you don't go soon, they'll have to turn you away...they get so many request and I know from experience, if you go to close to Christmas they are out of resources and the best they can do is very slim pickings so to speak....I don't know of anyone else that you can apply for help with unless it is a church .

1. Charity businesses (Salvation Army, Deseret Industries, etc.)
2. Nearby churches
3. Your child's school if he/she is school age
4. Your government welfare departments
