I have a 1982 Malibu wagon. The wipers stop working after about 30 minutes of ENGINE running time. I stress ENGINE because the wipers don't have to be running during this time. That is, I drive for 30 minutes, hit the mist or wiper switch and nothing happens.

If you have checked the vaccumn hoses for condition, wear, makeing sure they are tight connections.If the wiper motor has a clean tigh and bright connection. Makeing sure all your grounds to the car a re cleean and tight, then i would think thw wiper motor is breaking down when it is hot. You can read it out with a meter both cold and hot to find out.

I would suspect the wiper motor is weak.

its either the fuse,wiper switch or the wiper motor.
