They wouldn't let latino people vote.Me an all my latino familey kept trying to vote for Mario and the lines where always busy.

In my humble opinion I think it was a popularity contest as both competitors made improvements. It is just that Emmet had the larger fan base. Look how long Jerry Springer was kept on even though there were better dancers than him that got voted off.

That is not correct. They would have no way to block the lines of Latino people. The lines are typically busy for more than an hour after the show ends. Yes, we all know that Mario was the better dancer but Emmitt had the bigger fan base. Many people had never heard of Mario before this but anyone who has paid any attention to football knows who Emmitt is. Plus, he had the big gruff 'all man' look and more men can identify with that then with Mario's handsomeness.

The lines were busy when I was trying to vote as well, and I just kept hitting redial until I got through. They didn't target Latinos and not let them vote.

Yes, Mario was no question the better dancer. However, he had some talent in that department going into the competition. Emmitt made the most progress and deserved the title.

Don't worry, you weren't being blocked. Our call to vote for Emmitt wasn't going through either, so we balanced eachother's non-votes. ;-)

btw- I did think Mario was the best dancer and he did a lot more difficult moves. Even the judges said they were scoring him throughout as a professional, hence his lower scores. On the other hand, Emmitt was the most improved and friendly. Same thing happened last year I think when Stacey had more natural talent, but in the end Drew was more likeable and entertaining.

Mario definitely had a better body for dancing haha but Emmitt had a different style and I think that's what everyone loved about him...he was lovable. Mario was sexy though haha...I liked both! :)

I don't really think it is fair to just have ONE Winning Couple. The
others did good, too but we always got to cut things down until
there is only #1. Emmitt just had a bigger fan base so he won.
