The deal is it's illegal in the US for the child to be smoking. His father can be procescuted for contributing to his delinquincy. As an ex-smoker, I would report the incident, if for no other reason than to preserve the health of the child in years to come.

I WOULDN'T tolerate an 8 year old. My grandparent's, etc. who have been smoking pretty much their whole lives didn't even start that young! Maybe you should tell somebody?..

Eight yrs. old is way too young to start smoking...but what can you do like you said, the father smokes and sees nothing wrong with it...you could voice your concerns to social services....

yes that's a bit much.... what's worse is to see a little child with tattoos on it at such a young age. That's very upsetting
