You know i was thinking this last night or have they been claiming while he was away using a relative to assume his identity

To be entitled to any welfare benefit a claimant must be "habitually resident" in the UK and present in the UK at the time of the claim as well as meet several other rules of entitlement. Further, there is a limited time in which one can claim backdated benefits and a limit to the length of backdating (generally no more than a maximum 6 months). I agree that the fuss is a bit daft.
The important point is that a British citizen will not be subject to the death penalty.
Think of all the naive tourists in Thailand who have got life imprisonment or worse for getting drugs put in their bags.
Yes, they're stupid or wrong but since when did being wrong and stupid mean you should be put to death?

No. He won't get any back pay from the state. But wouldn't you racists just love it if he did. Then you could rant and rage amongst yourselves.

And, as has already been pointed out, he's of Pakistani origin, not Indian. If you can't be bothered to check the basics, how can you have any credibility?

He is a pakistani asian, NOT AN INDIAN AND HIS TRIAL WAS FLAWED, so we dont know if he is innocent or guilty. try to get your facts right next time , or is that too much of an effort for you?
