Seriously though, I think it's fair to say that on the whole, women listen more attentively than men, even to irrelevant details. Men tend to concentrate more on key words and phrases.
Next time you speak to a man and you think he's not paying proper attention, try to throw in a few "bait" words to grab his attention.
For example, no matter what you're talking about - it could be something as mundane as the weather - try to include a key word such as "football" or "sex" or "Porsche" - he'll soon be paying attention!

Actually, contrary to your misinformed little mind, guys have an amazing memory. The FDA produced a report a little while ago confirming the fact that men actually have a memory that is about 5 times that of a woman's. Men put about 95% of all memories into Long term memory, while women only put about 45%. Women, on the other hand, tend to recreate the remaining 55% to be whatever they want.

Why do 'which guys' have bad memories?

Does this come from a female who CAN tell her Left from her Right...?

I know 5 females who have this problem, but i don't know 1 guy who does. BUT, I don't make such sweeping statements about it in relation to ALL women.

Then again, for some things, I do have a bad memory, and as to why...! Perhaps you should engage in some scientific research to come up with an answer.

PS: When you begin a sentence in writing, it is with a 'Capital,' please do try to remember this, if nothing else.

I am a guy and my wife tells me that all the time. Being married, it's almost a perk now to watch her get so upset when I have no idea about details of a plan that she has told be about 2 days ago. But truth is, I have thought about it and wondered the same thing. I think you just get so used to that persons voice, that at times you tune them out. The only problem is you begin to tune out too much and it becomes habit. I guess it's the same thing when you get used to a particular life style, you get complacent about things and don't notice out of the ordinary things until they bite you. I have found that I listen more when I am out of my environment or on a vacation. It sets the clock over if you know what I mean. Hope that helped.

My mom's memory sometimes is really annoying. She'll ask me the same question 3-4 times in the span of 15 minutes, and then forget the answer. Also, I swear I have thought her how to burn CD's with her computer at least 6-7 times, but every time she forgets and I have to re-teach her.. It's cool though, because it's my mom, so I try not to get upset.. and with the computer thing, she really tries..

Seriously, different people choose to remember different things, that's all.
Things that are important to "A" may be of no consequence to "B" and so make little impact on "B" and are not remembered.

I am sure there are many things you do not remember that others (male and female) do.

Isn't the real issue that you think others should be and do just like you?

all down to priorities.
men just have a different way of prioritising their day than what woman do. this often clashes, but remember, don't be too annoyed or angry, half the time men are unaware that they have done something wrong........please be patient with them, there are some good ones out there!
