He died in New Smyrna Beach, FL but was sent back home to Middleburgh, NY for his service on Monday, Nov 20th, 2006..Funeral home is Palmer-Shaylor on RIver Rd...His name is John Skinner..he was 90...I want a copy of his obituary but can't locate it in any newspaper from Fl or NY...can you help?

The Schenectady, NY newspaper called The Daily Gazette ran the obituary, but they are charging two dollars for the obituary. I could see a little preview of it though. It is as follows:

Middleburgh

John Borst Skinner, a lifetime resident of Middleburgh,

died at his winter home in New Smyrna Beach, FL, on

November 13, 2006, of congestive heart failure. He was born

in Albany on October 7, 1916, the eighth of ten children of

William Alfred and Louise Shoemaker Skinner.

He attended Middleburgh Central School, where he was

president of his junior and senior classes. He had a beautiful

If you can't find the newspaper on the web, call or write to them in the appropriate city. Since the NY funeral is on Monday, it may be in the Sunday or Monday, NY paper.
