It really depends on the woman.

My sister never had more than occasional small bouts with morning sickness (3 pregnancies)

I, on the other hand, had it from Week 1 all the way to birth with both my pregnancies.

So it really depends.

If you are sick and think you may be prego, take the test, but realize that over the counter tests are only so accurate. You would be better off waiting for the missed period.

some can test as early as five days before your missed period, but the safest bet and the way to get a more accurate response is to take it once you've missed your period. Anytime too soon and you may get a false negative. It depends on when your body starts creating the pregnancy hormone and the rate the hormone increases. If your cycle isn't normal, I believe they usually say to wait a month after you've had sex and think you may be pregnant.

Oh, and morning sickness can start at pretty much any time since no 2 pregnancies are the same, but it usually starts around week 5 or 6 of pregnancy.

Ive been pregnant 4 times and always get my morning sickness starting at around 6 weeks. Everyone is different. But You do need to wait a little longer than a week. It takes 6 to 12 days just for the embryo to implant into your uterus, and then that is when the test will work and if you are pregnant that is when the symptoms if any will start. I did get sore breasts with my 3rd pregnancy before my test would come up positive, but that was teh only early symptom I have ever had.

Implantation takes place 6-12 days after sex. With my last two pregnancies, my morning sickness started on the day of implantation (6 days after conception)! So, yes, you can experience morning sickness as early as a week after sex.

I don't understand why people tell others that what they experienced was universal to all. Just because one person didn't experience pregnancy signs until they well after they missed their periods, doesn't mean it happens that way with everyone.

Also, even if you've experienced pregnancy signs, there probably won't be enough of the pregnancy hormone for the test to detect until you are very close to when your period was due. To be on the safe side (as so you don't waste any money on false results) wait until you've reached the day your period is due and doesn't show.

Good luck, I hope you get the results you're looking for!

You will have to wait about 4 weeks after sex to do a pregnancy test. If the test comes back negative, do another test in 2 weeks.

With my son, the test came back positive after 3 weeks. Yet with my daughter, the test kept coming back negative for 8 weeks (even though I knew I was pregnant)

But I think morning sickness can happen straight away though (or at leas within the first couple of weeks)

GOOD LUCK!

Morning sickness really doesn't occur until about 4 weeks into the pregnancy, take a test about a week after your supposed to have your period, if your period is on schedule every month you can take one about 3-4 days after you missed.

you can take some tests a week before your next period. And sometimes morning sickness starts as soon as you get pregnant but it varies. Some women don't get it. Mine came after the first month and ended at 4 months.

Morning sickness usually doesn't start until around the END of the 2nd month and middle of 3rd month, but there is not EXACT day. In fact many women don't even get morning sickness.

MARIA, IT DOESN'T USUALLY START UNTIL YOUR FIRST MONTH, YOU CAN TRY A PREGNANCY TEST USUALLY AFTER YOU MISSED YOUR PERIOD, BUT IF YOU WANT YOU CAN TRY IT NOW.
