I have connected the phone to the computer using the usb lead but my computer won't accept the connection. Computer just makes a beep sound, (same as the sound you get when testing and adjusting volume control on PC), and nothing happens. I no longer have my phone or PC manuals. Can anyone help?

Are you running windows XP?. That should accept the phone as an external memory device that you can find in "my computer". The beep is windows noticing a device on the usb port. The phone must be switched on of course. You may need to load some drivers though. These would have been on a disk supplied with the phone. I think you can download them from Motorola.com
