i am considering moving to either the fresno or monterey area...is it that expensive? or how much will a two bedroom house run me per month, in a nice area?

I ran a search on houses for rent right now in those areas. Fresno is looking to be around $1000, maybe a bit less. Monterey is looking to be around $2000 +

Frenso and Monterey are worlds apart in housing costs. Fresno is center state, Monterey is a coatal community.

I moved from Southern IL to Southern CA in '88. I ended up wenting a room for $300/mo way back then. My friend lived in a pretty good apt. for 750. Then he moved in '89 to a new complex for 1000 (in 1989!).
