Don't worry; Daniel's not going anywhere. Anything that has come out saying otherwise is pure rumor and speculation, based on the theory that he will be "too old" to play the character by the time the last two books are made into movies. But this is nonsense; the reality is that he will be only a few years older than Harry is by the time the last book is filmed. This is no big deal in Hollywood, where people in their 20s routinely play teenagers on the screen.
While Daniel has not formally committed to playing the role beyond HP5, he hasn't said anywhere that he won't, either. (If he had, it would be big news and everyone would know about it). This whole "will he or won't he" thing is a little game that actors in a position of power often play because a. they want to make the studio nervous so they offer them top dollar for the next movie and b. they want to be taken "seriously" as actors and are worried about being typecast (so they put out feelers letting people know they are interested in other roles). Emma Watson is doing the same thing.
Meanwhile, the studio certainly isn't going to tamper with the phenomenal success of the franchise by recasting the role of any of the young leads for the last two films.
HP is a once-in-a-lifetime role for an actor, and it's too much of a cash cow for either Daniel, Emma, or Rupert to leave their roles before the films are all completed. They would be crazy to leave, and I'm 100% sure that their families and advisors are telling them the same thing.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Warner Bros. film HP6 and HP7 back to back (like Universal did with Back to the Future parts II & III), to get around this whole issue of the kids getting to old for their roles.

a million. Albus Dumbledore 2. Tom Riddle 3. Kingsley Shacklebolt 4. Gellert Grindelwald 5. Mad Eye Moody 6. Severus Snape 7. Minerva McGonnagal 8. Filius Flitwick 9. Harry Potter 10. Remus Lupin. i'm likely going to get many people that disagree with me, by my putting Harry 9th fairly of third or second. I even pondered putting Lupin formerly Harry, and putting Harry 10th, yet pay interest. Harry isn't a qualified wizard yet. He has purely finished sixth three hundred and sixty 5 days (that is for the duration of DH, except for the epilogue) or perhaps as Harry is courageous and has handed maximum wizards his age and issues, he nonetheless isn't 100% qualified, and there are diverse magic he hasn't even tried yet, and many magic he hasn't even heard of yet. as an example, by the end of HBP, he tries to duel Snape, yet Snape actual subdues him. And Harry isn't a lot extra helpful on the end of HBP than he replaced into in DH. and that i'm confident no human being disagrees that Dumbledore is the Most worthy, and in view that Albus is purely "a colour bit extra helpful" than Grindelwald (Dumbledore's good words) i don't believe of you should disagree with my putting Grindelwald fourth.
