When dancing what is with the peace signs turned sideways by the eyes mean? Sorry that is the best explaination I could come up with. Seriously, the peace sign turned sidways on the eyes then they move them out to the side of the head.

Actually, that came out of Disco, in the 70's. It is just a gesture somebody came up with that they thought was cool. Kind of like"I'm watching you."

There was just a furor over the need for peace in Vietnam. We had the enforced draft which produced draft dodgers moving to Canada. The peace sign had lots of other stuff that people attached to it, but really that's all it was. It was a time when people who wanted peace were willing to have love ins and peaceful sit-ins to get the government's notice.

The other thing is that during that time, at Kent State, police shot several students which made the gap between authorities and the younger that much wider. The saying, "I don't trust anyone over 30" was big.

I never saw it in the sixties when I was growing up. But I think it's suppose to indicate that the dancer is mysterious, dancing behind a "mask" made with finger gestures.
