I have worked on many computers, and have found that the Sony Vaio is by far, the best system to use for multimedia creation and modifing. The price tag is in the intermediate - high end range, but is worth every penny. A pre-loaded Vaio comes with Microsoft Windows XP Multimedia, and is very well integrated into the entire system. If you are only using the system for light use multimedia, then any computer with a processor greater than 1.6 Ghz, memory greater than 768 mb DDR / DDR2 , an APG 8X video card with at least 128 mb DDR memory, and a ATA133, SCSI or SATA hard drive will work fine.
