definatly at home...not to mention your clothes won't be in a mysterious unknown machine that has had tons of other people's dirty nasty clothes in it. by the time you figure the money it takes to put in the machines, your gas it takes to drive there and back...it's definatly way cheaper to do them at home

It is cheaper to wash clothes at home. By hand very cheap. Some washing machines start at £160 and will give years of life if you are lucky more costs for electricity but cheaper than laundromats. Don't get tempted by expensive machines.

At home, even if you're taking your detergent and dryer sheets with you to the laundry mat. Washers and dryers don't use up as much electricity as people think, so either way the laundry mat will cost more!

Depends on how many loads your doing and how much your paying for water, how many people your washing clothes for, how much per load at the laundry mat, how much is gas in your area. But Laundry mats are dirty to me.

At home. Add up the cost of using the laundramat (getting there and back, money for the machines, etc) against the cost of a washing machine - it is surprising how quickly a washing machine will pay for itself.

well let's weigh this out.....
when have the appliances at home, you have the convenience of washing and drying at will with the only cost being for washing powder, fabric softner and dryer sheets......the expense there is for water and electricity.....some dryers are gas appliances if not electrical -----
if wash at laundromat, you have gas expense to and fro, for washing powder, fabric softner, dryer sheets.......plus is cost minimum of $1.00 to wash per load, and base of 25c to dry tho most times it takes multiple spins to dry thoroughly.....and you have the wait in line(sometimes) for one or both appliances.

One of the things you need to take into consideration also is the locale of these laundromats.

Mostly it is all in what works best for the individual.

I for one have become more accustomed to the the convenience of home laundrying but also appreciate the laundromat when appliances are out of order.

Yeah it does take longer at home but at least you are home and can wash, dry and fold and also put them away. I try not to let my soiled clothes pile up, that way I have no more than 3 loads at once.

Definitely at home. The main reason is hauling all of those clothes around. My water bill didn't increase much after I got a machine. It paid for itself in convenience alone.

It's cheaper to wash them at home and besides you gotta count the gas mileage going to the laundrymat and back.
