I did a free scan with this ParetoLogic software and those are the items it came up with. They find them, but they won't remove them or quarantine them unless I buy their software, of course.
I am already running ZoneAlarm, Superantispyware, AVG, Search&Destroy and AdAware and none of these has picked up anything. Matter of fact, according to them I'm as clean as a whistle. I update them almost daily and run them just as often.
Is ParetoLogic just making this up to get me to buy their software in panic or are there real threats involved here? Why doesn't any of my software pick up even one of these items??

I looked up the items in question and know what they are supposed to do. Sfonditalia alone scares the dickens out of me.

Again, SYSTEM, in order for them to remove the alleged problems I'd have to BUY their software. That is not a problem in and of itself, but I am just concerned that this may be yet another one of these false INFECTION warnings, issued just to get a person to panic and buy. I'm not playing that game.

Trust your Superantispyware, Search&Destroy and AdAware and AVG. All are reputable apps! I have personally used them all myself.

Many so called "free scans" are in fact a swindle. They will give you false positives as a goad to purchase the product.

I have never heard of this ParetoLogic but if the 4 programs that you are using say that you are "clean as a whistle", then you are!

Hi!

Also try Microsoft Antispyware.
If MS Anti... and AdAware6 say you're clean then... you're clean!

Good luck!
