Remember when they first came out? Weighed about 6 pounds and didn't work worth s***, but you were cool because they cost a lot and almost nobody else had one. You were the man!
Now, I just saw a bum on a bus bench using one.

They aren't particularly cool, and haven't been for a while.
The way to look cool now is to turn it off when you aren't calling someone else. Don't let anyone else see that others can summon you at their will. It seems a bit needy when someone is dedicating so much attention to a cell phone.

Having a cell is not enough, you got2 be on top, have the latest, sport the newest model before anyone else does, and make sure they remember it.If phones maketh the man, than you have to be very careful with what cell you choose to use. Personally I think coolness is something you r either born with or its something you will never have even if you try very hard to get it. Its in the way you walk and talk. Its that I lead, you follow attitude, or that yawn, i dont really care feeling that you portray even though you may own the world and everything in it.

I never got a cell phone to look cool; I got it so that in case of an emergency, I could be reached, or I could get a hold of someone. Before, I was always against it, but once I moved to a place where I didn't really know anyone, I figured I'd better have a way to get a hold of someone. Now, I wouldn't want to go without one. I don't even have a home phone anymore.

Cell phones are not cool anymore, Just like the big plasma tv, once Wamart starts selling them, the cool factor is gone because then everyone can afford them.

Oh man I remember those days walking around with something bigger then your actual home phone lol, but who cares about being cool, the way I look at it is either you like me for me or frig off, not my prob if I live up to your standards of being cool, I like who I am, and does not bug me if others do not think like me!

Talking LOUDLY on them so everyone can hear you is uncool.
The bum may have been given one by a shelter to take job offer calls.
