My mother a d her grew 2 love each other evan more so than either one loved me.../ Ok. that"s not true U C they boyh still love me.. They just don't like me a whole lot.. I no---my faught. I don't no 4 sure what U asking, but if it's friendship between u and mamma in l;aw, take it, unless she is worse than hubby. OK?

Yes. As women tend to make comparisons between their husbands and fathers.
We seek that which makes us comfortable, and parents are supposed to be the ultimate in comfort until we meet that special someone. So, it's only natural to compare traits.
Of course, some of the more negative traits get compared, too. And because that's what we grew up with, I think we have a tendency to go for the familiar and not just the comfortable. Even if it's bad for us.
Does that make sense? Oh well, it does in my head.

Yes, even though it's not fair. Men don't know their mother as intimately as they know their spouse, so they may think their spouse is weak or sloppy compared to their mother. Their mother may not have had the same pressure to bring income into the household.

Not in the way I think you (and other females) do.
We might think one does roast potatoes differently than the other.
Men basically do not think that way.
