You're not actually finding the halfway mark for this question. If you needed to find the fraction that's halfway, you would just add up the 2 fractions. This gives you 7/6. And then you would divide the top by 2. So you get 3.5/6 but you would have to multiply both by 2 since you can't have a decimal inside a fraction. This gives you 7/12. However, you don't need to do any of this. You just need to put in a number that makes the statement true. To be a proper fraction, the denominator has to be at least 5. However, 4/5 is bigger than 2/3, so that can't be the answer. Let's go higher. 4/6 is actually equal to 2/3, so that can't be the answer. The fraction must be BETWEEN those two numbers. It cannot be equal to either of them. Let's try again. 4/7 actually works because it's bigger than 1/2 but smaller than 2/3. So, your answer is [7]. Hope this helped you! Good luck to you and God bless! :)

If these two equations equal each other then it can be worked out easily.

-2(200/500 - 2p) = 1(225/500 -p)
-400/500 + 4p = 225/500 - p
move the components around

4p + p = 225/500 + 400/500
5p = 625/500
5p=125/100
5p=1 + 25/100
5p=1 + 5/20
5p=1 + 0.25
p=0.5 + 0.05
p=0.55
hope that makes sense...

You need to show us both sides of the equation. Where is the equals sign =. What is on the other side?

Well first of all that is not a clear enough problem to understand what p is unless your r supposed to be graphing the equation. In Wich case P can be used as any number

You can not solve for a variable (p) unless there is an equality (an "=" sign). There are probably typos in your question.

you cant work out what p equals unless you have an equation.
that means you need an equals sign in it!!!!!!!!!
