I found a coconut on the beach and buried it, but it never grew. Today I found another coconut. What can I do with it besides sell it to the Nookster?

yes, bury it near the ocean. it will only harvest two fruit a day, as opposed to the other five fruits, but i believe they sell for 150, instead of your town's natural fruit selling for 100
as for the other, stunted growth, dig it up with a shovel, get rid of it - it's not doing you any good

It will only grow if you bury it on the beach in the sand. If you try to bury it anywhere above the beach, it will die. Good luck!

Actually it will grow a little way up the shoreline also but it has to be within something like 9 squares of the sea :)
