TAMPA - If the 300 millionth American really was born Tuesday, as the U.S. Census Bureau predicted, then Jada Breann Travline of Tampa could make a claim for the title.

No one knows for sure which baby is this country's 300 millionth person. Census projections estimated it likely would be a white, male child born in California at 7:46 a.m. Tuesday.
