Not all. What are called ghettos are micro cultures that are established so that the inhabitants may feel more comfortable in a familiar environment. Of course, not all ghettos are slums. Since slums are primarily made up of the poorest people of a society, multiculturalism is not unexpected.

I wouldn't have thought so. For example, up until a few years ago, the Gorbals slum in Glasgow would have been populated, in the majority, by Scots people, wouldn't it?

I would think so. Slums are where the poor people go because they have no job, food, or anyone to care for them.
