Not all. What are called ghettos are micro cultures that are established so that the inhabitants may feel more comfortable in a familiar environment. Of course, not all ghettos are slums. Since slums are primarily made up of the poorest people of a society, multiculturalism is not unexpected.

I wouldn't have thought so. For example, up until a few years ago, the Gorbals slum in Glasgow would have been populated, in the majority, by Scots people, wouldn't it?

I would think so. Slums are where the poor people go because they have no job, food, or anyone to care for them.

No, although often they are populated with the poor and vulnerable they are often also ghettoised into ethic groups and sometimes people will stick to their own cultures etc.
