You might want to take a look at this site as it has some excellent suggestions to address the pre-presentation jitters. I wish you all the best of luck with your presentation.

This changes for everybody, but I found for myself, that the real key during public speaking is to know my subject so well that I don't have to think about the words that I am saying. Instead I can focus on speaking at a good rate, and clearly.

It is really all about confidence though, and sometimes the only way to gain confidence is to gain experience.

Get some practice in public speaking. If you belong to a church, ask to be allowed to read the Scripture passage during the service. If not, take a night school class in public speaking. If your speaking engagement is coming up soon, most of those who have answered before me (and I'm sure those who answer after me) have good suggestions. Be sure to read them

knowing your facts, making good presentation is something which you must have. To speak confidently, I find myself lost when i realize that many pairs of eyes looking at me and I can only look at one pair at a time. That puts me off and mental block can occur. So I thought of this - looking at the forehear / hair of each person and keep moving from one person to the next. Personally, I usually would be able to speak confidently and does not lose my train of thought. It works for me!

i have been to alot of speaking engagements and i think the key is to really know your subject and also engage in crowd interaction. give them a handout to follow or hand out a questionaire the more you make them feel comfortable the more you will ease any intenseness.
