Can anyone make a valid argument that if Rutgers wins out they shouldn't play in the national championship? Had Louisville or West Virginia won out we would have put them in it without hesitation, so why is it any different if Rutgers does it?

As far as SHOULD they get a chance if they win out? Yes! Until a team has been beaten, there is no way to know how good they can really be. If every other team has lost a game, then why should they get a shot at the best (and the winner of the UofM OSU game will clearly be thought of as the best) when a team has not yet been beaten?

As far as WILL they? No way. It is conceivable that every team above them COULD lose again this season, but then the loser of the OSU UofM game will get back in as number 2. Mathematically it is almost impossible for them to get a chance.

My whole family attended Rutgers, we love them, but the SYSTEM will not allow them to big Bowl. It's all money, but also, I don't believe Rutgers can make a good showing against those big teams with 300 lbs lineman.

Like to see it but the powers that be won't let that happen. It's all about the money. No money in Rutgers in the title game. It will be USC, Notre Dame or Florida against the winner of todays OSU-Michigan game.

no they have no chance of playing in the championship game even if they win out why do you think the bcs put usc at number 3 usc don't really belong in that position but the bcs is thinking all about the big money game having teams in it that will draw a crowd it's not a fair system i no but Rutger don't have a chance

Even if they win out, forget about Rutgers playing for the national championship. It won't happen for one BIG reason......dollars.....would be no dollars in a Ohio State/Rutgers matchup....would more likely expect a Ohio State/USC....Ohio State/Florida.....Ohio State/Michigan rematch

Simple they are Rutgers and they don't get attention because they aren't a powerhouse. I'm sure you already know that but no sense in saying it is anything else.

I don't think the BCS will let them. If they were open to it, they wouldn't have let FLA stay in that high spot after such a weak victory over an unranked team. Likewise for USC. If Arkansas beats FLA in Atlanta, they'll slide right in. SoS.

not going to happen USC, Florida, Arkansas, Notre Dame would all have to lose one more game for them to even be considered and if all four of those teams lose one more game i think the loser of the OSU Mich game would probably still jump over them just because they started the season unranked and it took them to long to climb the polls
