when people don't know who some early entertainers are, such as Clark Gable or Gary Cooper or James Cagney, to name a few.
When Bob Hope died, some girl at work in her early 20's asked "Who the heck is Bob Hope?" I couldn't believe it. How do you get through life not hearing about Bob Hope?

I wasn't born in the 20's or 30's but I know who a lot of old time actors and personalilties are. I read a lot. I think it's sad that people don't care about history.

the same way most, who do remember those, also dont know the silent movie stars, many remember those who were popular during their lifetime,,,

It's a generational thing, ask an older person who some of the newer bands are, chances are they never heard of them either

They were not born in that time, and ppl never said things about him or her, so there for they were not explained about these great ppl that we all watched in life as we grew up not them, they will have there own when they grow up as well!

Yah I find it sad....some people just don't care about old legends!
This day's generation will have their own Hollywood stars to look up to when they get old......
