I am 13 weeks pregnant & 25lbs overweight, 5'6" tall. I am not fitting into most of my pants, so it is noticable for me.

That depends on the person who's pregnant and the person who sees them. At the beginning there's a fine line between baby show and people wondering/assuming you're just getting fat. If it's one of your friends who knows you're pg, they'll look for it and know what's causing the swell, a stranger MAY notice but not say anything because they're not sure. It actually took me almost 5 1/2 months to start baby-showing, so about a month ago is when the first stranger asked me when I was due.

And some people can tell without even looking at the belly. I was barely showing (hadn't even started to use a hair elastic in my pants button), hadn't even gained a whole 5 pounds, and I went in to where I used to work and one of the girls asked when I was due--she said she saw it on my face. Some people are more perceptive to the "glow" than others. Some REALLY perceptive people can even smell it on you.

I starts my pregnancy overweight as well. I started wearing maternity clothes at 6 weeks! I'm now 18 weeks and people are barely noticing. But only the people that already know i'm pregnant. I'm thinking by week 21-24 strangers will start noticing. If this is your first pregnancy, it will take longer for you to show (this is our first), and when you're on your second, third ...child you'll show sooner because the abdominal wall is already stretched out because of the previous pregnancy.

Some show quicker than others. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and not very noticeable eventhough I am generally quite petite and I'm only 5'4. My youngest his 17months old and I was huge with him after about ten weeks it really just depends on the baby. I have had to tell all of my friends, which you can do if you really want people to know, these days people are afraid to guess in case you have just put on weight and they will offend you. Congratulations and Good Luck

Please know I mean no offense! But if you are overweight, it may take a while. People don't want to be rude and ask if you are pregnant in fear of offending you. But generally, about 4 or 5 months along women start getting the "baby belly". It really depends on your body type.

Congrats and good luck with your new baby!

It depends on your body; strangely though logically, it especially depends on the size of your breasts.
Because I'm top heavy, my belly never went past my breasts and some of my university students didn't realize I was pregnant in my ninth month.
For most women though I think 5th-6th month would be where people start to feel sure it's a pregnancy and not just weight gain.
If you're flat people might guess as soon as you start gaining weight.

if you are 25 lbs overweight it will be hard for people to tell until later in your pregnancy because you will just look overweight instead of pregnant.

im no skinny minny myself. i've been pregnant twice. if i remember correctly i was probably around 5 months when it became noticable. believe me...it pretty much happens overnight. litterally. one day you'll wake up and just look pregnant.

althought every pregnancy IS different along with every person. but you'll get there.
