Age is definately a state of mind. My grandmother is 95 and going strong, she drives, she goes hot air ballooning, goes dancing, does volunteer work, still goes to work at the family business, uses computers and goes on cruises she is awesome... She will tell people the reason she is such a fire cracker is because she didn't sit in the rocking chair... she said if you stop to sit in the rocking chair your doomed..... A body in motion stays in motion.... Don't focus on the things you can't do anymore because of your injury focus on all the things you CAN do instead.. There is a really good medication that is non narcotic that came out for nerve pain, it's called Lyrica. I have a friend who deals with nerve pain in her back and down her legs and it changed her life. She got off the oxycontin and is out living again... Anyway those are just my thoughts...

I have not had any injuries but I am 28 and feel like I am about 50. I am a mother of three and have a stepson on weekends so I think its just my life really. That matters as well. Part of it could be depression if you feel down alot. I have felt like this for about 2 years now. But also consider if your overweight that could be part of it too, as I have put on a few lbs and that really drains you.

You are only as old as you think you are.
I am almost 54yrs old and the ONLY time I feel old is when I look at the age numbers and think about the big 60 getting closer.
Even my doctor agrees with me when I say I am a 25yr old trapped in a 54yr old body.
I have raised 3 children of my own and one step son,I worked side by side to help further my ex- husband's career, worked full time and often times worked overtime(sometimes working 2jobs to acheive my goals).
Today I work full time, take care of my own place with chickens, ducks, goats and sheep and beg to keep my 3yr old and 15mo old grandchildren.
Yeah, our bodies go through changes but I don't let that stop me,I am like a Timex watch who has taken a beatin in my life but I keep on tickin.
I am the jokester in my friends circle and at work and I have FUN in my life, needless to say I am wired to the max. but once in a while I have to give me,my mind and my body a rest so I can jump up and take off again so being lazy once in a while is good and it allows us time for ourselves.
I have choices in life,I can either sit and accept my aging and just sit and wait to die or I can get up,be a part of my life and the lives of the ones I love and have a great time til it is time to die.
When I get old enough to finally HAVE to slow down and my children have to put me in a nursing home, watch for me. . . . I will be the old lady who is still dressing like she is 25 and I will be the one dancing with all of the old men, laughing, doing practical jokes, doing the exercise classes, organizing wheel chair races and the one getting in trouble for taking myself and others out on unauthorized outtings.
I am and always will be the one who is trying to make the MOST of my life regardless of how old I am.
I agree with Wicked Fairy and I TOTALLY agree with what her grandmother says.
My grandparents died in their 80's and still lived in the country and still got up every morning to milk cows, feed chickens, worked out in the field, worked a garden and kept their house.
I will be that 95yr old having fun in my life and doing things that only others think about because I will not be old. . . EVER

27. I'm 28 now, and it just keeps getting worse.
A friend of mine said, "When you turn 25, your body just starts to go downhill." I think she was right. I first started to feel myself slowing down at 25, but I didn't start feeling older until last year.
Kinda sucks, really.
