She has no property rights on your land.
It's a fact of nature that leaves will blow away from a tree when it's windy. Witchy-poo needs to take a reality pill.
You could offer to help pick them up, many women hate yardwork, and the leaves would make great mulch for your flower beds. (if you have a blower/mulcher). Y'all may become better friends that way. And witchy-poo wouldn't embarass you when you have guests over, with her boorish behavior.
'Course, she may ask you to pay for them....that's a joke....LOL

This issue has foolishly been the subject of magistrate court, justice of the peace, and even lawsuits.....result is the same, mother nature can't be controlled --- or sued. I'm knee deep in leaves from my neighborhood during fall. I guess I could put up a net or barrier or fence to prevent them from coming onto to my property but it doesn't much matter to me. Once the leaves stop falling, I get on the lawn mower, give it a whirl, and presto! I have mulch high in nitrogen.
Not everyone is crazy like me, but most people don't mind to the point that they complain to the tree owners. Obviously, ya'll don't exchange gifts at Christmas. You should keep the trees, but then I'm a nature lover, and if it were me, I might even plant some more!
Good luck

You don't have to cut down your trees. The wind blew them onto her property, you didn't put them there. However, a neighbor of my sisters blows the leaves back onto the property of the tree owner; another bags them and then dumps the leaves back over the fence. So be aware that she may try this, then call the police because she will then be dumping on your property. (Isn't it amazing tho, that these same people will want to park under the shade of the tree in the summer)

Don't you dare cut down those trees, trees bring property value and if you ever resale, you'll be loosing money/value to your property - she'll just have to live w/ it and she can't make you do it! I guess you are supposed to have control of the direction the wind blows too, lol. Falling leaves are not "rubbish" in Gods eyes, he created it that way. The trees are preparing themselves for a long winters nap so they can rest up and beautify themselves for us again come Spring - tell your neighbor to go crawl back under the stump she crawled out of, your not cutting down any trees.

hello, coinlight65 here; I do not know the law in Austraila, right off..BUT! in the town that I live in ,here inthe U.S.A. the property owner is held liable for ANY thing that falls over the property line, from their yard including leaves, twigs, limbs and etc. it also allows the person next door or whatever to seek damages in court, if it should fall on a person, pet ,auto. roof you name it...the trees on a persons property, are YOUR PROPERTY.and here in town you are responsible for.keeping it from damaging or bothering anyone on the other side of the line, and if it blocks a persons, view from the road and GOD. forbid that person gets hit by a car or something because of that, man are you in trouble, thank god that all people don't squak so much about leaves they are as you say JUST LEAVES.but it takes all kinds to make a world. don't know if this helps. hope so . good day!

So when did you run into MY neighbour from hell? Those trees are on your property. Your leaves that fall in your yard are your leaves. Your leaves that fall in her yard are HER leaves. If you cut those trees, you are doing YOURSELF a disservice. Do what I did: I put up a 6'7" board fence, and my neighbour from hell is blocked out forever! It's well worth it! And don't worry; someday, she'll die.

You don't have to do a thing including listening to her *****. It's called mother nature. If it was damaging anything on her property she can pay to have it cut then you can claim property damage.
