You need a break. Go travelling or something, just for a couple of weeks if that's all you can do. Get out there and see somewhere different. I did and it made the world of difference. Try South America or East Africa. You just need to feel like more of a person and less of an object!

You did not give many details with your question. Do you feel this way because you went through a divorce and do not have a family to spend holidays with? Or, what is the reason for this feeling?
My feelings is that you should try to be your own best friend. This will help you to feel that you belong anywhere. You are always there for herself whether you are with a group of people or not.

I believe there are situations in everyone's life from time to time that make us feel this way. I agree that taking some time off alone is a great idea. Go away to somewhere new remember how much fun it is just to be. I am going through a divorce right now and feel very much the same way. When it is over i am taking a vacation to Australia, something i have wanted to do for a long time. It gives me something to look forward to. I also plan also on using the time to remember what i want and figure out where i want to be.

You may have lost your way and forgotten what your talents are, what you are good at and truly enjoy doing. Once you get honest with yourself and remember those things, you will have solved the problem. The great thing about being a human is that we have free choice of what to do with ourselves. Everyone has things that they are good at. PS if you are feeling blue for two weeks without relief, get help for depression. Sometimes people need counseling and medicine. Never take medicine without counseling, though, because a pill is not a cure. Facing life and dealing with it is the cure.
Life is meant to be joyful! Good luck!

I know exactly what you mean - and (assuming you're referring to yourself) it's called depression.
I think we all reach points in life where we feel a bit directionless and it may be time for you to make some changes, but that's easier said than done when you're feeling low. Do see your doctor if you don't feel you can work though it. Modern anti-depressants really can help and often just a short course is enough to give you a boost where you can get your direction back.

Go to a Christian church. You enter the family of God there. You meet wonderful people. You can get counselling from the pastor and it is free. The counselling is better than many places you would have paid.
Going to church helped me and fellowshipping with believers.
You can try reading a book too that helped me lots. "Power of a Praying Woman" by stormie omartian. Prayer is powerful.
God is there waiting for you.
Here's 2 verses for you.
Matt7:7-8
7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Ask the Lord to show you how "real" He is.
Jer 29:11-13
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I pray the best for you.
God Bless!

It means 'a time for a Change.'
It happened to me (though I didn't see it in the terms you describe it (as in 'belonging'). Not too long after this 'event,' I found myself driving through a beautiful misty sunny summers Sunday morning in Cork.
It was, in ways, the beginning of a new life.

I'm sure we all feel like that, I know I do! Give it time. Life usually has a way of spicing things up for us even if we're stuck in a bit of a rut.

More than likely, we all probably have this feeling come to us on occasions, or when something goes bad for us. But if this feeling stays with you for too long of period, it may be to your benefit to seek professional help to help you through it.
