keep the guitar in its case and dont play it,the strings will last forever

Wash your hands before you play. After you're done playing, wipe the strings with a soft cloth.

buy new ones..they wear no matter what you do....there are many myths....but the best way is to change them often....i change mine every month on all 5 of them....what a chore it is...but it works
