I live in China, in a city with 12 or so million people and lots of heavy industry. The smog here is so bad I can't see buildings half mile from my home, so there's no way I could see a meteor shower. Be grateful -- at least in the USA your biggest challenge for visibility is light pollution rather than air pollution, and it doesn't make you cough! But somebody tell me more about the Leonid this year because it's one of my favorite autumn pasttimes!
