almost no phones have GPS. Location services are based on triangulator or time delays to base stations. Accuracy is between 50m and 500m

You need to contact your service provider to find out what location services they offer. These would work with any phone.

Hi there...

Actually most phones in the US use GPS. Triangulation isn't as accurate and sometimes is not possible if you are in a border area and only have two sites or one to triangulate with.

GPS handsets give you two options. One, to allow GPS data to be sent to the network on 911 calls only and a second option which allows GPS information to be sent continuously. If your wireless service provider has location based service available, you will need to have your phone set to send GPS data continuously. By location based services, these usually include information and ads for businesses that are close to where you are.

As far as how to enable GPS, it depends on the manufacturer of the phone you have. Most are done through the menu tree of the phone.

Hope this helps!
