I do! Well, in English class the other day, we had a relay race where we had to get information out of books, no computers involved... It was definitely frustrating because I had to flip through large books that were larger than me, look at tiny print, write down stuff, and then hope that it's right...
And I just realized how much I depended on the internet... just type in something in the search engine, and bam! I get millions of websites (and I only look at the first 5 or so)...
:-)

I teach college English, and I require my students (on at least one essay) to find at least one non-internet source. I'm guilty of going to the internet for everything, too, so I know how easy it is to sit in front of the computer and get it all done in one place.

At the same time, some libraries have fantastic resources, and the perfect one for your essay may be sitting on the shelf, just waiting to be checked out.

But yes, I know most people rely on the internet to conduct research, as well as keep in contact with friends, get the news, etc.

I still use books to get my info, I even encourage my kids to use books, cause this internet is way to easy, I would like my kids to expand there mind more and look it up for them selves and not have it BAM on the internet, besides youget more knowledge from reading then getting it right the first time!

Not really because when I was in school it was old school fer sure! LOL Even in college we did some research on the internet but most of it was from dusty ol books...I think you should be "fluent" in both books and the internet.

Plus, you have to get to the library when it is open and hope the book you are looking for is still there.

The internet just awaits your beck and call
