I want to be able to remote access one of the other computers on my home network. Is there a way to do this with WinXP Home or some third party software?

Yes. I have 3 PCs on a home network. However, the PC which is directly connected to cable is very fast. Another, which is upstairs and away from the source gets a low connection. There have been times when I have had to wait until the PC found the connection.

Sounds like what you want to do is "share" the files. I preferred not to do this but if that's what you want, try this link for information.

It relies upon on the proximity of both residences/college and the flexibility of the signal. If the college/residences are next door to one yet another, you're prepared to do it. As that is not likely, the signal power isn't adequate to achieve the gadget.?
