Hi Dora K,

I've just answered your question regarding what % of the population you can expect through the door of your shop and the answer to this question is very similar.

You need to check demographics (eg. what percentage of the population are children - they spend most on candy); what is the disposable income like (eg. what cash do people have available to spend on luxury goods like candy), what competition is there in the area (are there any other candy stores).

Two tips :

1. Information on population, income, etc is normally available at your local town hall, library or government office (but not normally on-line)

2. Try speaking to your bank. In the UK they offer a lot of free advice on how to put a business plan together........which is effectively what you are trying to do by asking these questions, isn't it ?
