why do some people like to be aggressive during "love making"?

i started reading this novel and the scene didn't appear loving and passionate but quite the opposite. i was surprised because the author was a woman.

why wouldn't you desire a gentle and devoted partner

i disagree, a man who loves you will be extremely sensitive

Because we are not all the same. Aggression is a primal human instinct and letting it out in sex is very powerful experience - if mutual - since it allows you to revert to your ancient instincts, it makes sex an intense, primitive experience, very organic and grounded in nature. Gentleness has its place, but too much of it is not good. There must be some sparks too

I think because it is one of our basic instincts which is when we are reminded we are animals looking to procreate and send our genes on which in the animal world it is the biggest and meanest seems to end up being the trait that is the most common sent on to the next generation.

Being aggressive during lovemaking is desirable but it depends
on the type of partner... you have to know his/her enthusiasm or eagerness when to act aggressively or not... in order to avoid conflicts between you and your partner later.
