should i try to get a Wii

This is easy man. Buy a 360 now....wait a little for the Wii...at that point you will have only spent a little more than you would have for PS3....but instead you will have 2 new systems.
Then in a year or so get the PS3.... :)

wait till after january,
I have worked in retail for 13 years,
the price always drops in january-march.
the games are more availible
I mean,
pay $700 now, plus 50-70 per game
or pay $300-500 then, and the games are way cheaper,
when playstation came out, $350 ,
january, $300
march $150
similar with PS2
I worked that night that it came out
people were laying on the floor in sleeping bags,
from 8am the day prior,
They were'nt waiting forthe cure for cancer,
or a flue shot,
or food,
they were waiting to pay $700 dollars for a GAME
you probably have a system allready,
play that.
you obviously have a computer, or wouldn't be talking here
play that
play outside,
read a book,
Its not been so long that I was a teenager that I can't remember we had stuff to do
( and yes we had computer and video games too, I'm not that old)
if you absolutly need to have one
use your own hard earned money, go on ebay, I hear you can get one for $1500.

I'm surpirsed she didn't. There was only 400,000 in the whole U.S.A, and my Target only got 6 in!! People were lining up outside (in the freezing cold), waiting for 12:01 am on November 17th! (They buy them for 600$ and then sell them on eBay for 2400$!!!!) Personally, I think Wii is better because you can play video games and watch movies (I think), right? I would try to get one of those if they're not all gone because they came out the same time as Playstation 3.

The PS3 ROCKS!!! Very cool system. While the Wii will have some neat games for it the PS3 has the blueray player. If you have an HDTV and a good soround system I would say wait for the PS3.

no you should stop being ungratefull and ask her for something cheaper and tell her youll get a PS3 when the price drops. if your still spoiled then get a xbox 360 instead because they are better anyway and if you allready own a xbox 360 ask for a box of chocolate cause you allready have to much

They are coming out with 700k more very soon, still, they won't be easy to come by...someone is going to have to wait in line.
You can get em on ebay but they are at least twice the $.
I understand electronics bout. will take orders.

No!!!! Tell your mother thousand times and maybe she will get one for you if she told you NO ask more and more.Don't get a chance of getting a PS3 from yourself.
