These people have supported the country,and state,bought homes,raised,educated children, and now they want to retire with dignity. We are the richest country in the world,and we force our old people to live in shame. Many can't afford health care,food,home ownership. In other words this GREAT COUNTRY SPONGES OFF THE OLD.

Being 65 and a Woman, I have said long before this age, that "once you give it to the people, you can't take it back"! If School Taxes,were removed from a Seniors Return, where do you think the Govt would then take it from?I have always said that we could run our own Country by Referendum,Let the People Choose! We would have to keep the Bureaucrats, someone has to push to paper.. but I remember being taught, that a True Democracy was Run By The People, For The People! Does anyone know what happened? Good Question, lots of support for my age group, we Are the Last Generation that the Human Race will ever have, that have nurtured our Children, to Our Death. Thank you All...

Why? Because the government needs your money.
Why? Because we continue to vote greedy career politicians into office and then we have agreed to make them very wealthy, give the better retirements & health care than the average American.
Somebody has to pay for our government workers to be paid for the rest of their lives.
As American's we need to collectively rise up and say ENOUGH. The people who work for US (the government & politicians) should not have better benefits and retirements than the average American. But we have allowed them to, then we re-elect them. Why would any politician think we shouldn't want this, when we put them BACK into office.
This country is beginning to disgust me. The average American struggles and struggles and our elected and hired officials benefit for the REST of their lives.
Nothing will change unless people quit bickering about bs that doesn't matter (gay marriage, abortion, affirmitive action, etc., etc.,) and start paying attention to what our government has become.
Of the government, by the government, for the government.
THAT is the reality of life in America.
