Do not use any chemical prods... 1 grain of that left in your aquarium might force you to aquire new fish... Just use an old fashion razor blade.. it works depending on your aquarium .
Also you can use some sponges made out of soft wires....they do not scratch the glass... they are for kitchen. Just wash it thouroughly after that ..

Before using a sponge...make sure u get the right one...they are made of something metalic and they do not scratch the glass... You can feel them with your hand...they are very soft ..

Also you might try it on a corner or on the bottom of the fishtank. Assuming it is glass..

Leave the water for a week to age before putting the fish. Leave it with the air pump on..

Do not use chemicals when cleaning your tank. You can't always get all the chemicals out and it can kill your fish. Bleach I was told, is ok, but that's all...and of course you wash it out well.

Call your local pet store, one that has fish, and ask. They should know what's safe to use and will work. It's their job and they deal with this day after day.

Also, there's an aquarium scrub brush that helps take off film and alge as well, but again...ask the store for the safest route.

You can use bleach but you need to let it sit for a couple of hours (or use clorox mixed spray...U can get it in the cleaning isle...WORKS GREAT) You can also use any general soap scum/mildew cleaner as well...also scrub it with a Mr. Clean scrub...After u set it up, when it gets the film from where the water level has dropped you can just usea lain sponge to wipe it off. I do this every month and mine looks great

I have hard water here- I used to clean my EMPTY tanks with a paste made from coarse salt and vinegar- the vinegar helps cut the lime residue and the salt acts as an abrasive. just make up the paste and give the glass a good scrub (with your hand and the paste) rinse well with plenty of clean water- hope it helps

A scrub pad, elbow grease and water with a little soap. Wet it first to help soften it up. If it will fit in the bath tub or move out side if it is really bad.

Lime-Away, brand name, find at Wal-Mart, Lowes, etc. But be sure after you clean the glass with this that you wash it thoroughly before refilling with water!

attempt cleansing soap as in hand cleansing soap or dish detergent and warm water, like the way you may want to take off tint, the way your meant to any way. If that doesn't artwork, take somebody else's suggestion.

sounds like you have a scale problem, try the thick CLR and let it sit, then a 0000 wool pad, or green scrubber pad,
