Have you heard of the words "creativity" and "innovation"? If not, please look these up as you are learning and looking for things to do to make money.
Now, it will depend on a number of things:
- where you live, what is around your area
- what you like to do
- are there any older people around who might need help doing things
- are you and your sister the only kids in your family
- etc
Then, look around your neighborhood. Are there things that need to be done? Are there yards that need taking care of? Are there any small stores around your home? Is there any older people (I am thinking age 65 plus) living near you who could use some help or just visits to see that they are OK (like baby sitting only for the elders)?
At 13, I had already built up a yard care service in which I was mowing 15 yards a week during the summer (buying my own lawnmowers and gas), painting, raking and in winter shoveling snow. So I always looked around and asked is there anything that I thought that I could do to help others and that they would be willing to pay me for!
So, as you think about what you want, start off first by asking what do other people want/need/wish to have and what you can do to help them! The phase is: "Your rewards is life are directly proportional to the service you provide!"
Thus in the future you should ask - "What can I do to help others!" If you do this first, then the money will follow :-)
Note: because of doing this from a very young age, I was able to retire very early in life. Now, I am doing even more for enjoyment and to learn more. The greatest rewards if life will come from the people that you meet and the things that you read.
With that said, maybe you offer to read things (books, newspapers, etc.) for older people or younger children who are having trouble seeing or who cannot read for themselves. Ask at you local school if the teachers need any teacher aids!
Good Luck.
If you are serious about making a lot of money over you lifetime (as well as now), see if your school library or your local public library has any items listed in the web link below. If not, ask them if they can get some so that you can listen and learn from some of the top people in the world how to make money by serving other people.

you can look for arrowheads and quartz to sell if you live near a rock shop they might buy them from you .You can also collect and recycle cans thats how I get gas money in a pinch.Make sure that when you go hunting for these things you are with a freind or family member because its not safe to go anywhere alone now a days.I hope you have got some ideas from all the replys you have received. My son has been hunting and selling arrow heads for years,Get a book from the library and it will help you. They are hard to find sometimes. Other things you might be allowed to do are pick fruit of course at your age you would probly only be allowed to do that for just a few hours sometimes farmers pay by the quart for berrys .Of course at this time of year as the weather turns bad you may have to just be poor for a little while.

Rake leaves, mow lawns, shovel driveways, deliver newspapers, find another person to babysit for. Also my 11 year old granddaughter was working in a flea market every Saturday by serving coffee and making sandwiches. Maybe you can check it out.
