well a good phone for a kid would be a firefly (look it up for details) but that doesn't sound like what you are looking for....... it would be good to pick out which plan you want (cingular, t-moblie, ect.) because then you can limit your choices. A raxzor is cute, but a sliver is hard to handle and would result in it getting dropped. A chocolate in nice too for verizan. I personally don't like sprint phones, but that's just my opinion. The razr is definately the bect in cingular!

The Sidekick 2 or 3 would be good.
And save you money, the $20 data plan includes unlimited texting, IM, web, and email.
