It is estimated by astrophysicists that the sun will continue to turn hydrogen into helium for the next 4 to 5 billion years, so there's not much to worry about in that sense.

The problem is the sun is getting hotter, and we are located in a perfect temperature region which is unfortunately shifting out towards mars which will result in the earth burning up. This is a gradual change expected to take full effect in about 500 million years (not long on the large scale of things.)

By the way the sun is also regarded as being middle aged!

It has been estimated that the sun would die out in about 5 biilion years. Right now it is in the middle of its life, already have living 5 billion. Yes the Earth will come to an end at the time. Humans may be long gone before this, but as the sun dies it expands into its Red Giant stage. When this happens the sun will engulf the orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, and possibly Mars. WERE ALL GOING TO DIE!!! But don't worry you'll be dead already before this happens.

The Sun is just over half way through it's main cycle phase and it will continue to burn for 4 billion more years. Mankind will be long gone before the Sun burns out.

The sun is considered to be kin "mid-life"...so it would have another 4-5 billion years left. Scientists say that as it starts to lose steam, it will inflate into a kind of star called a red giant, losing much of it's mass while the loss of gravity causes its gases to expand into a much larger but weaker star. When this happens, the sun's size will inflate to encompass at least all of the inner planets up to Mars....so Earth will be "done" then, if we don't blow ourselves up sooner.

Some scientists in the 1960s said the world was already going to end by now from global freezing.

A lot of scientists are idiots. Always question science, because a large amount of it is utter nonsense.

We have about 4 billion years to go. But toward the later stages, the sun will enlarge so life on this planet will become impossible.

5 billion years they think it well swell up and consume all the planets then it will shrink to a white dwarf star and probably burn dimly for another few billion years then explode in a supernovea or be recycled when the milky way and the nearest glaxy to us collide, intersting future either way

Are you crazy? The sun is burning, you say?! Who the hell is tall enough to have set light to it then? It isn't burning. The light it gives off is due to the people living there.

When will the world end? It won't end whilst we have chores to do, so don't worry about it.
