If your second friend makes your first friend fade away, then neither one of them are really your friends. Because a true friend wouldn't allow herself to fade away from your life and a true friend wouldn't want to make any other friend you may have fade away.

So find new friends.

You should tell your 2nd friend that she or he is ruining your relationship with your 1rst friend. Try and get the two of them to be equally happy that they have such a great friend. Or just tell your 2nd friend that she should not worry about forgetting that she is your friend and not just the 1rst friend.

you have to figure out what the problem is first. It could be any of these things:

1. first friend is jealous
2. first friend is embarrassed by comparison to second friend
3. second friend is evil and has pushed away first friend
4. second friend is just plain obnoxious and first friend is disgusted by your lousy taste in friends.
