Hey I'm in 10th as well an I'm just like u but i excel in my studies even though i watch a lot of TV play a lot an all....
just sit for an hour every day .. make sure u don't have any TV program or computer to distract you and study for that 1 hour and trust me 1 hour of concentrated effort will help you do really very well.Don't ever think that you cant achieve anything be positive and keep working take one thing at a time and you will succeed.

Look, think about it: Your exams are not far away, just a few months are left , so if you want good marks , you should forget all the programmes, etc. & have one think in mind : I CAN DO IT !!!! These are the most powerful words & after speaking this from the heart you WILL be able to avoid the "Idiot Box" !!!
See, whenever I have to concentrate on my studies , I close the door of my room , switch off the tubelight, switch on the lamp (whichever light- yellow or blue - you prefer) on my studyable & keep the books in front of me............ the technique leaves just one thing in front of you- book , just one thing in mind - studying & just one sound for your ear to hear - your own . While doing this just tell your parents & siblings not to disturb you . I'm sure the technique will help !!!

If you are honest about it, tell your parents to disconnect the TV cable connection straight away. Ask them to pack off the computer. It may hurtin the beginning but you will find you have a lot of time at your disposal. Some of it can be used for studies.

only u can help urself
if u don't study, u will face the consequences. WAKE UP! life is tough: u need to struggle. TV is absolutely trash! unless u watch News or Educational channels, u r wasting ur time
study hard: its for ur own good
GOD BLESS U

Do one thing.. i used to do this when i need concentration... if u r disturb or anythng comes to your mind.. i used to write it on a paper.... don;t worry abt handwriting.. and all.. just write it wheatevet u want and athen u can give this paper to read to ur best freind or just tear off.. this helps in reducing the unnecessary thought whch come to ur mind... and alsotell your parents to disconnect the TV cable connection. for some days u will be haivng prob.. then all will be ok..
all the best

make a schedule.. for example watch t.v at this time to work at this and make like a goal for u say if i study this much without being distracted i will make a good empression on my family that will lead them to support me or even give u more privligis... first days are the hardest but try ur best to make a good schedule also but breaks in between but short breaks so ur mind will be relaxed. for ur studies try to put them on an our which there is no good stuff on t.v or in a time where the things they put on t.v are the least u like!
GOOD LUCK

listen friend ,
your words make it clear that you r very honest and sincere about ur studies
so don't worry much and reach for the goal
and stop thinking rubbish as it is only a waste of time, because if u really want something u would get it only by hard work
as far as tv is concerned u can hav it a for some time and it would reduce automatically as ur exams come near

Shut off the tv and save your computer fun time until after your studying is done. If you don't discipline yourself you are throwing away precious time when you could be learning and preparing for your future, which will only be as full of promise as you are capable of proving you can handle. I wish you luck.
