how should i record a temperature like 97.87? Should it be 97.8 or 97.9?

Actually I would record it as is.
The more detailed your chart, the easier it will be to notice your post-ovulatory shift in temperature.
If you want to round to the tenth then that is 97.9
Anything .5 and below would round down and anything .6 and above would round up.

I would keep it as exact as you can to detect any slight deviation from the norm....I would say keep it at 97.87, but if you want to keep it simpler, 97.9. Good luck

97.9, they are looking for the closest tenth of a degree. soi would round it up. good luck,im in the same boat as you.
