I'm assuming that it is not a 'keyed' lock like the front and back doors are and it has a little hole in the center of the knob you can see.
Take a skinny, flat bladed screw driver and put it in the hole.
Feel around gently until you feel it fall into a slot, it shouldn't be a long or hard process. Once it's in the slot all you have to do is turn it to unlock the door again.
Older knobs you may have to only push against the stop in the knob rather than turn it, but either way, it shouldn't be hard to unlock.
I used to do to it all the time when I was a kid and and just did again to make sure I was telling you the truth.

Serious answer.
Use a putty knife or something thin and flat to pry the "door-stop-molding: away from the door jamb at about the height of the lock. It is only held in place by small finish nails, but the paint sometimes makes it look like it is all one door jamb... its not. Pry it away about an inch, a little above and a little below the lock. Then you will easily be able to push the latch open with a butter knife.
Then simply hammer the door stop back into place. you may need a bit of touch up paint afterwards.

I would first try a small screwdriver (Flatblade) through the latch area, or a credit type card to move the tongue back thus opening the door, also Unless the door lock uses a key, most bed/bath knobs have a hole in center of knob for a screwdriver to either push in a release or turn the release to open the door....hope this helps,Ed.

Well I was going to say that if it opened out, tie some rope to the handle and then to something strong in the room. That way, if someone tried to open the door, they wouldn't be able to. But to me the hair clip seems like a good idea...but think about this. How many people "walk into your bathroom whenever they want"? Probably not that often.

Look to see if there's a small hole in the door handle. If so, put a brad, a small nail. maybe a "bobby" pin might work, this should trip the mechanism or, take the hinges off. Better to put in a different latch.

are the screws for the door knob on the side you are on? If so, take out the screws and remove the door knob. You should be able to get in.
